Hello, welcome to my new website - Authentic Pixels. Through Authentic Pixels, I plan to deliver high quality free & premium web resources including Bootstrap HTML templates, startup landing pages, UI kits, mockups & themes for Ghost & Wordpress.

My goal is to release at least 2 resources every week. This is also an attempt to improve my design/development skills by regularly releasing new content.

Currently I have 2 products for sale - Elemental - Multipurpose Landing Page Template and Atlas Admin - Responsive Dashboard Template and I am working on another Bootstrap template for startups & small businesses called 'StartKit'.

About Me

My name is Bharani Muthukumaraswamy and I am a designer, full-stack developer & amateur boxing enthusiast from Pondicherry, India.

I have successfully bootstrapped my first venture - Resumonk. Resumonk is an online resume (CV) builder that is currently being used by thousands of people across the globe.

In my previous roles, I have worked with a wide array of startups on different platforms ranging from hybrid mobile applications to rich client web applications.

About This Website

This website has been built using Elixir language (Phoenix framework) and is hosted on a 5$ Digital Ocean box.

Although it would have been better to use a static site generator like Jekyll or Octopress, I decided to build everything from scratch using Elixir and use this as an opportunity to learn a new programming language and web framework.

It has been a wonderful learning experience. Coming from Ruby on Rails, there are a lot of things that are done differently in Elixir/Phoenix and this project has helped me wrap my head around the "Elixir way" of doing things.

If you are looking to pick up a new framework/language, I would highly recommend that you check out Elixir & Phoenix. It is fast, performant and provides a very nice developer experience.

I will be releasing the source code for this website on Github shortly. You can follow me here for updates. I also plan to write another blog post documenting my experience developing and deploying a Phoenix application.
